Time to Thrive Donate Let’s start the new year with purpose, movement, and mindfulness! Join colleagues across the globe in our “Time to Thrive” initiative — a month-long challenge in January to raise funds for our Charity of the Year in each country. As a team, we're aiming for a total of 6,000 hours of activity, which equates to the time to walk (as the crow flies) to all our nine global Charity of the Year offices. We're fundraising for The Starship Foundation, the only dedicated charity which supports our amazing national children’s hospital, Starship. Their mission is to ensure sick and injured children have access to the very best treatments, life-saving equipment, critical care services, breakthrough research and family support initiatives. With a growing population and increasing demand for health services, there is a stark disparity in population segments requiring hospitalisation. Health NZ figures for June 2023 show hospital admissions for babies and pre-schoolers rose 35% year-on-year with a 44% increase over the last two decades for respiratory conditions. Maori are 1.8 times more likely to be hospitalised with respiratory problems and Pasifika 2.5 times than their European counterparts. For acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease hospitalisations, 61% are from socioeconomic deprived backgrounds.Your generous support will allow our dedicated team of health professionals to reach more children in need of specialist treatment and support.
